Welcome to our Kinder
Yackandandah Kindergarten provides high quality, inclusive pre-school education. Our emphasis on learning through play offers children a safe and caring environment in which to explore and grow in areas of health, learning, personal and social development, and wellbeing.
What's on in 2026
Kinder Committee of Management Meetings
Our Kindergarten Committee operates as a sub-committee of the Yackandandah Primary School Council.
We are very fortunate this year to have full and enthusiastic representation on this committee, who will represent the parents, families and children of our local community and can be the voice of the community in expressing thoughts and opinions. They have regular face to face contact with the kinder staff, children and families and will be a positive force in actively and optimistically communicating with our local people.
We welcome parents to our monthly meetings.

Meetings are held at 5.30pm at the Kindergarten on the following dates in 2026:
Term 1: 10 February / 10 March / No April meeting

Term 2: 5 May / 9 June
​
Term 3: 14 July / 11 August /8 September
Term 4: 6 October / 10 November / No December meeting

Welcome Concert 5th March
“The Welcome Concert takes place every year during the first week of March. It is a wonderful opportunity for children and families to meet and connect with the Director, staff and other families. It’s an event not to be missed!

Yackandandah Folk Festival Parade
​
“The Folk Festival Parade takes place every year as part of the Yackandandah Folk Festival. Our kindergarten participates on the first day with a parade where children, together with their teachers, create beautiful and creative props to celebrate with the Yackandandah community.
​
Each year features a different theme, making it a wonderful opportunity for families to connect with the community and enjoy a special day together.
​
This year, the parade will be held on 20th March — don’t miss it!”
